Commercial Fire Extinguisher Servicing Northern Ireland
BS 5306 Compliance

Extinguisher Servicing
Northern Ireland.

Maintain your first line of defence against fire. We provide expert, legally mandated BS 5306-3 annual servicing, maintenance, and supply of commercial fire extinguishers across Northern Ireland.

Unified Safety Solutions

Complete Legal
Fire Compliance.

Fire extinguishers are highly pressurised vessels that can degrade, leak, or be tampered with over time. The Fire Safety Regulations (NI) 2010 demand that all equipment is kept in efficient working order and good repair.

At CTS, we streamline your facility management. Instead of hiring separate contractors, our multi-disciplined engineers can service your Fire Extinguishers, test your Fire Alarms, and complete your PAT Testing in a single, non-disruptive visit.

BS 5306 Compliant

Every service strictly adheres to British Standards Part 3 (Commissioning/Maintenance) and Part 8 (Positioning).

Fully Vetted Engineers

All staff are Access NI cleared, enabling secure, uninterrupted testing in schools, care homes, and government facilities.

Digital Certification

We provide immediate digital certification and legally compliant logbook updates the moment testing concludes.

Our Framework

The Servicing Process

A rigorous, methodical inspection designed to verify the pressure, mechanics, and immediate readiness of every extinguisher on site.

1. Visual & Location Check

We verify the extinguisher is correctly located on its stand or bracket, clearly visible, and appropriate for the specific class of fire risk in that zone.

2. Body & Component Inspection

We examine the cylinder for dents, corrosion, and damage. The discharge hose, nozzle, and operating mechanisms are checked for blockages and wear.

3. Weight & Pressure Verification

The pressure gauge is tested (where applicable) and the unit is weighed to ensure it has not lost contents or suffered slow depressurisation.

4. Pin & Tag Replacement

The safety pin is removed and checked for free movement. We then fit a brand new, date-stamped anti-tamper seal to secure the unit.

5. Label & Logbook Update

The extinguisher’s physical maintenance label is signed and dated. Your site’s fire safety logbook is updated with the comprehensive service details.

6. Certification & Advice

We issue your BS 5306 Compliance Certificate. If units are reaching their end-of-life (e.g., 5-year discharge requirement), we provide a competitive quote for replacement.

Risk Assessment

The Right Equipment
for the Right Risk.

Installing the wrong type of extinguisher can be deadlier than having no extinguisher at all. Using a water extinguisher on an electrical fire or oil pan can be catastrophic.

During our service visits, we rigorously assess your environment to ensure your current equipment strictly matches the specific fire risks present in each zone of your building.

Water & Foam: Essential for Class A (wood, paper, textiles) and Class B (flammable liquids) fires.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2): The only safe option for electrical equipment and server rooms, leaving no residue.

Wet Chemical: Exclusively designed for Class F risks (cooking oils and deep fat fryers) in commercial kitchens.
